NEW YORK CITY
Conhecer New York era o meu maior sonho. A cidade fascinava-me, pelo que via nos filmes e series, por estar do outro lado do oceano, por ser diferente das cidades Europeias. Algo me atraia a esta cidade como um íman! Tinha de a conhecer, tinha de realizar este sonho e já! Estive sete dias na cidade e desde o primeiro até ao ultimo não queria acreditar. Não queria acreditar que tinha chegado, que finalmente aquela cidade era minha e não queria acreditar que tinha terminado, que tinha que a deixar para trás, talvez para uma próxima vez (ou não). Era tudo o que esperava e mais além...é enorme, tudo. São edifícios que arranham o céu, um maior que o outro. São avenidas infinitas, infinitas de comprimento, infinitas de lojas e de gente. São pessoas, de todos os lados e de todas as raças e feitios, simpáticas e atenciosas prontas a ajudar. Queria ver tudo, museus, edifícios icónicos, miradouros, praças, parques, estátuas e pontes e vi, tudo o que podia e o que as minhas pernas permitiam, estava cansada mas muito feliz.
Foi tudo um sonho bom e que durou o tempo necessário para se tornar inesquecível. I Love NYC.
Getting to know New York was my biggest dream. The city fascinated me, by what I saw in movies and series, to be on the other side of the ocean, being different from European cities. Something attracted me to this city as a magnet! I had to meet it, had to realize this dream and now! I was seven days in the city and from the first to the last day I could not believe it. I couldnt believe that I had arrived, that finally this city was mine and didn't want to believe it was over, I had to leave it behind, perhaps for a next time (or not). It was everything I expected and beyond ... its huge, everything. They are buildings that scrape the sky, one bigger than the other. Avenues are endless, endlessly long, endless shops and people. There are people from all sides and of all races and sizes, friendly and thoughtful ready to help. I wanted to see everything, museums, iconic buildings, sights, squares, parks, statues and bridges and I did, I saw everything I could and my legs would allow, I was tired but very happy.
It was all a good dream and that lasted the time needed to become unforgettable. I love NYC.
